Chemical Anchor
Chemical Anchors also know as Resin Anchors are a type of resin based adhesive that are generally used in the construction industry and other industries for the bonding of such items as steel studs, bolts and anchorages into substrate materials, usually masonry or concrete.In virtually all applications the resulting bond is invariably stronger than the base materials to which it is applied, this makes chemical anchors the ideally suited adhesive for high load applications. As the name suggests, chemical anchors are based on chemical adhesion so there are no load stresses applied to the base materials which unlike expansion anchors makes this method more suited to applications that require close to the edge fixing, group and reduced centre anchoring and base materials where the quality is unknown or may have a low compressive strength.
Both of the Somafix chemical anchors (Epoxy Acrylate and Polyester) come supplied with the appropriate static mixer nozzle which when applied to the injection cartridge ensure that the base resin is mixed correctly with the second component in order to begin the chemical curing process.
We also supply a range of high quality sealant and caulking guns that are available for use with our chemical anchor cartridges.
