Expanding Foam
Somafix have a range of polyurethane expanding foam in both hand held and gun grade varieties, it is a multi purpose filling and montage foam that can be used throughout the construction industry and building trades. This range of products is manufactured from imported raw materials and its extra formulation is cured by moisture in 2 to 4 hours.Our expanding foam products are perfect for use with fixing doors, windows and similar frames, filling in gaps, cracks and holes. It is also a great insulating product for use with both hot and cold water pipes and electrical equipment.
The Somafix expanding foam range hardens in approximately 2 to 4 hours and once cured can be shaved or sandpapered to a smooth finish ready for painting. The product bonds to all kinds of building materials and products with the exception of the following materials, silicone, Teflon, polyethylene and polypropylene.
Our polyurethane expanding foams offer great resistance to all weather conditions and is suitable for areas that come into contact with seawater, steam and moisture as well as being not easily flammable.
All of our handheld expanding foam products come complete with the dosage trigger and nozzle making the product ready to use straight from the shelf, and can be used across multiple projects as long as the nozzle and trigger are cleaned before the foam has cured. We also have a polyurethane foam cleaner available that can be used to remove all polyurethane based chemicals.
For our gun grade expanding foam products we can also supply a selection of high quality foam guns.
